Hello & welcome. I don't know what barn burner circuit is but I'd recommend using the charts for defining the reps that you do. If you want to try something different have a look at this http://www.navysealteams.com/warning.htm (you'll be doing the workouts using PPUs).

The number of reps you do totally depends on your current fitness level (for which you don't provide any details) so even if someone tells you that you should do 5 sets of 10 reps of a certain pull-up or whatever and you're not up to this level yet you could get frustrated. The link I gave you is somewhat indicative of the progression that should be followed according to each person's level.

I avoid performing the same workout during the week so as to keep my muscles guessing otherwise they get used to the exercises, reps, etc. Besides there are so many muscles that cannot be covered in just one type of workout!

Please let me know if I can help in any other way.

hey jersey. welcome to the site.

nice reply btw Jim.

anyway, the reps for the v-cut circuit are said to be found on the site. however, they are only implicitly represented. for this circuit I would recommend starting with a good number of regular half power pullups. then take that number, and double it. the number you get is the reps you should do for the other exercises in the circuit. eg. if you do 5 half power pullups, you will do 10 regular pushups, 10 australian pullups, 10 wide pushups, 10 knee ups, and 10 on each oblique knee ups, alternating on each side. the amount of sets will then depend on how much time you want to devote to this circuit.

essentially same thing goes for the barn burner circuit. if you need exact numbers, look at the power 10 workout charts on the workouts section of the website. pick a Max level, and do the first section of reps for each of the exercises listed in the barn burner workout. the ratios of the reps when comparing the exercises are pretty good to achieve a well proportioned body. for instance, the power 10 workouts say to do 20-15-12 lunges. so you would do 20.

good luck. if you have any other questions, don't hesitate to ask.
